Elizabeth Shrum
-
Elizabeth first visited Family Life Missions in Honduras as a translator for her church’s mission team and then returned as a team leader. She has seen the work of Family Life Missions first-hand, and she believes in its mission, vision, and values. Elizabeth helps deepen and refine all aspects of marketing and communications for FLM, from web presence to external relations, to amplify our message and build meaningful connections.
A fan of the Spanish language from childhood, Elizabeth has an undergraduate degree in Spanish and a graduate degree in education, specializing in Spanish curriculum development. She studied at the Forester Instituto Internacional in San Jose, Costa Rica. Her fluency in Spanish led to over three decades of helping native speakers and beginning language learners build connections. Curating media and technology has been an important part of it all. Elizabeth’s passion and calling fuse creativity, education, and cross-cultural understanding.
She has served as her local church’s Right Now Media content coordinator. She is currently a member of the women’s ministry leadership team while continuing to be a resource for their Honduras mission teams. Her favorite things include writing, playing, and listening to music. She loves time with her circle of close friends, green and growing things, and learning Korean. Most of all, Elizabeth loves sharing the story of God’s faithfulness that transformed her life and expanded her world. Family Life Missions and Honduras are now a beloved part of that world.
