Back in February, we introduced you to the Cruz family from Catacamas, Honduras.
José and Minely are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Justin (10), Fernando (4), and Allison (3). Like many families in rural Honduras, they work incredibly hard, yet earning approximately $300 per month makes it difficult to provide even the basics.
When José’s father generously donated a piece of land, the family began building a modest 27′ x 27′ concrete block home one block at a time. But progress was slow, and eventually construction came to a standstill.
Then something beautiful happened.
A mission team from Fellowship Bible Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, traveled to Honduras through Family Life Missions and came alongside the Cruz family to help complete the home they had dreamed of for so long.
One of those team members, Justin Gibson, shared this after working with the Cruz family:
“I’ve been heavily impacted by seeing the support of the Cruz family here in Honduras through Family Life Missions. I truly believe God has a hand on this family and will take them to great places.”
Today, the Cruz family is living in a completed two-bedroom home with a combined living and kitchen area and, for the first time, an indoor bathroom—a safe, secure place where their children can grow, learn, and dream about the future.
This transformation happened because people chose to serve. And while the team blessed others, they in turn were blessed.
